Nose Aesthetics - Rhinoplasty
 What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as "nose aesthetics," is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting the structure of the nose for both aesthetic and functional purposes. Aesthetic elements such as the size, shape, and curvature of the nose can be corrected, while functional issues such as breathing problems can also be addressed.
Who is Rhinoplasty Performed For? Rhinoplasty is generally preferred for the following reasons:
  1. Aesthetic Purposes:
    • Individuals who are dissatisfied with the shape or size of their nose.
    • Those with nasal bone curvature (deviation) or related issues.
    • Individuals who believe their nose is disproportionate to their face.
  2. Functional Purposes:
    • Congenital nasal structure issues.
    • Nasal deformities resulting from accidents or trauma.
    • Those who experience difficulty in breathing (for example, those with deviation problems).
Who is Not Eligible?
  • Individuals under the age of 18 (if bone development is not complete).
  • Those whose overall health condition is not suitable for surgery.
  • Those with unrealistic expectations.

When is Revision Rhinoplasty Performed? Revision rhinoplasty is a second surgery performed to correct the issues arising from a previous nasal surgery that the patient is dissatisfied with.
  • When is it Done?
    • It is generally expected that 12 months will have passed since the first surgery. This period is necessary for the nasal tissues to fully heal and take their final shape.
    • However, if there are serious problems such as breathing issues, earlier intervention may be necessary.
